Silviana Petre Badea, managing director of JLL Romania, the leader of the local real estate consulting market, has been appointed Deputy Head of CEE Capital Markets, while continuing her role as country head of Romania.
Silviana's appointment comes in the context of the implementation of a new organizational structure of JLL in the Central & Eastern Europe (EEC) region in response to the increasingly complex, strategic and regional needs of customers in the EEC.
Silviana will work closely with Tom Devonshire-Griffin, who will become Head of Capital Markets Central & Eastern Europe, which includes teams based in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia. Tom returns to the region after 15 years in Russia and the Orient with the ambition of leading the excellent Capital Markets teams of JLL in the CEE to a new way of approaching capital according to customer requirements. Silviana will focus on the operational side and will support Tom in implementing the growth strategy in the region.

Silviana has over 15 years of experience in real estate, and since 2017 she has been leading JLL's operations in Romania, the leader in the real estate consulting market for the second year in a row.
Tom brings over 20 years of capital markets experience as well as a strong background in debt and equity from his time as Country Head of CIS / Russia, and most recently as our Head of Capital Markets in India. Tom will take over from Mike Atwell, who – after four years of heading up the CEE capital markets team - will return to London to take up a senior position in the EMEA Industrial & Logistics investment team.
Central & Eastern Europe is a key destination in Europe, given that annually the countries of this region - Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic, attract over 6 billion euros investment volumes.
