Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection, has just opened their first office in Bucharest. JLL guided the company throughout the process, from ideation to purchase. With JLL’s support, Acronis rented a workspace in Orhideea Towers, an office building developed by CA Immo in the center-west of Bucharest. JLL represented Acronis during the search process and the negotiation of lease terms, making it possible for the world-renowned software company to start operations in Romania.

During the last several years, Acronis has been opening offices in new locations and regions to support the global growth and demand for new generation of cyber protection technologies. The new Romanian office will become an important foothold for serving the Romanian market — and the Balkans in general — in the post-Covid era.
With JLL’s support, Acronis found the most suitable location for their needs and leased 600 square meters of office space in Orhideea Towers. Acronis has future growth in mind with this new office, which will initially be staffed by 60 Acronis employees already in Romania. The company is developing extremely effective cyber protection technologies, including hybrid storage, advanced antimalware capabilities, and blockchain-based authentication. Acronis Cyber Protect, the company’s flagship cyber protection solution, combines world-class backup and an AI-based antimalware engine, and has been independently verified to detect 100% of malicious executables with zero false positives.

Romania became the second country in which JLL has helped Acronis to expand. Previously, JLL Romania helped the company to rent 1,700 sqm of office space in Sofia. The Bulgarian office has already became one of Acronis’ most important R&D centers. It is expected that new Romanian office will also become a new center for IT expertise and innovation throughout the Balkans.
